Ndume is well known and respected throughout the region as the only true agricultural machinery manufacturer in East Africa. Ndume machinery is built to last, easy to use and simple to maintain.

The company was established in 1959 with a total staff compliment of 40 men, and a floor area of approximately 5,440 sq. ft. Today’s factory occupies some 5 acres, with 62,000 sq. ft of buildings, consisting of machine shop, fabrication shop, various assembly lines and a range of other engineering activities which include repair, design and testing facilities. When in full production the factory employs approximately 80 workers.

The main focus of Ndume’s business initiative is in the agricultural sector, a market Ndume has been serving for over 60 years. Ndume’s products are all designed and manufactured locally and as a result have been adapted to farmer’s needs and local conditions. The product range suits all levels of farmer, from the small holder subsistence farmer through to the large scale commercial farmer. Machinery produced suit tractors from 30 to 200 Horse Power and competes directly with implements manufactured overseas in both technical and financial terms.
